The North Macedonia passport ranks 64th in the world, with 114 available destinations and a 57.6 per cent coverage, according to 18 October 2026 data updated by Passepartout Reports, the platform publishing passport analysis of 199 countries in 34 languages.
In the rankings, calculation includes the possibility of visa-free travel or simplified entry procedures into foreign destinations.
Serbia is 59th, Montenegro at 65th, Albania at 79th and Kosovo in 93rd. On the European list, the RMV passport is 39th from 47 countries.
In a special list of hospitality, Macedonia ranks 89th out of 199 countries. This ranking estimates the ease with which foreign citizens enter Macedonia; the global passport index, on the other hand, measures the access that holders of RMV passports have in other destinations.
According to Passport Reports evidence, Macedonia’s citizens can travel visa-free to Albania and Serbia, as well as to all 29 countries in the Schengen area.
The eased regimes could include additional formalities: for Malaysia, a arrival card is specified and up to 30 days’ stay, and for Surimin, tourist visa and up to 90 days’ stay, though both destinations are in the category without visas.
Egypt is in the reach visa category, with the possibility of an electronic visa and the position specified up to 30 days; Seycelles is in the category of electronic travel authorisation, with tourist registration and a stance specified for 90 days.
However, for entry into Macedonia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also lists a special relief for citizens of third countries with a valid Schengen visa with many C-type entry: it is allowed to stay up to 15 days after the entry, if the visa is valid for at least five more days after the target stay, with a total of 90 days in a 180-day period. This is a rule for foreign visitors to Macedonia, and not for the travel of citizens of Macedonia abroad.
Macedonia is not a member of the Schengen area, but its citizens have visa-free access to 29 Schengen destinations. /Telegraphy/
