Putin: Peace negotiations with Ukraine after we meet all military objectives

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Moscow is ready to resume negotiations on ending the war in Ukraine, but has warned that Russia will meet all targets of what the Kremlin calls special military operation.

He said Russia had demanded that in 2014 help reach an agreement between Kiev and Ukraine’s southeast regions, which did not accept the change of power at the time.

Since the first few days, in 2014, we said: Let us help you reach an agreement with the southeast of what was then Ukraine. But no. Balls and planes against the civilian population. Practically, they launched a war, 74-year-old said.

The Russian dictator also referred to Minsk’s agreements, aimed at ending the conflict in eastern Ukraine. According to him, Moscow had repeatedly sought an agreement between the Ukrainian authorities and the part of the country that did not accept what Putin described as a state-run heap.

Putin stressed that Russia remains ready to negotiate and seek solutions to the situation, which he described as difficult and complicated.

We are willing to negotiate and seek solutions to this difficult situation, because it is about a people very close to us, he said.

The head of the Kremlin also claimed that recent genetic studies show that Russians and Ukrainians are a single people, expressing confidence that a deal can be reached.

However, he warned that if the other side wants another route, Russia will act in accordance with the circumstances.

In any case, we will fulfill our duties and all targets of special military operation will be achieved, Putin said.

He also disclosed that the parties have agreed on readiness to resume trilateral contacts.

According to him, the purpose of these negotiations would be to discuss ways to ensure the security of Ukraine and Russia after reaching peace agreements.

Putin also said that territories lost by Kiev are not their hosts, but, according to him, historically Russian land. /Telegraphy/
