Alliance MP Burim Ramadani has welcomed the Kosovo Supreme Court’s decision to abolish the provision that allowed the driver to keep his license until the completion of the vehicle’s detention measure.
Through a video message published on Facebook, Ramadani has congratulated citizens, saying the patent-viser seizure is done only with court ruling.
He has recalled that this stance had been expressed on May 31st, stressing that police cannot seize the driver’s license out of legal authorisation.
Congratulations to the citizens. State of law, above all. On May 31st, I told you the driver’s license will not be confiscated by the police. Confiscat only by court ruling. Today the Supreme Court confirmed this. Congratulations citizens. The rule of law, above all, has written Ramadani.
The Supreme Court has found that the provisional maintenance of the police driver’s license cannot last more than eight days, while the safeguard clause on the vehicle’s direction remains divided by the physical holding of the document. /Telegraphy/
