The Senator-elect Democrat by Michigan, Abdul El-Sayed, has sharply criticised US vice president JD Vance, during an interview for CNN.
Initially, El-Sayed said he was willing to work together with Vance, but then he called him “freaktakcak”, accusing him of trying to distance himself from President Donald Trump only after the historical losses the Republicans suffered in the Muslim elections.
His statement comes at a time when election results have caused shock within the Republican Party and have sparked discussions on the political future of the Trump administration.
El-Said criticised what he considers Vance’s attempt to flee political responsibility for the losses, since he had previously been part of the Trump administration.
