Come to Government, don’t even get in the yard. A citizen criticizes Kurti, Haxhiu, and Gervala

Today’s protest in Pristina against the assassination of Arlinda Zekaj has gathered numerous citizens — women and men — who sought justice and institutional responsibility for cases of violence against women.

Among the protesters are men, one of whom expressed his displeasure at statements by Justice Minister Donika Grovall, criticising the way institutions are dealing with citizens and their problems.

He also cited a prime minister’s pledge to resolve the problem within 52 hours, questioning what had happened with the deadline.

Instead of the Speaker of the Parliament that day, I was told to solve the problem, and the prime minister gave a word that said within 52 hours to solve the problem, I don’t know what’s done with those hours… She tried to protect me with innocence from Donika and Svechla, she said why she didn’t come to us, but in Government within the court she doesn’t accept that permission to solve my problem with Donikaão, the protestor said.
