A woman has been found without any signs of life Sunday evening in the village of Vitomirica in Peja, while allegedly her death has resulted from blows with a strong tool.
According to the Kosovo Police’s announcement, around 7:00, the Police Station in Pec was reported on a case of domestic violence in this village.
Victime was escorted to the police station where he was interviewed. The suspect (the victim’s husband), who has been detained for 48 hours, has also been arrested and interviewed. The victim, by her own will, was sent to her home in the village of Vitomirica, the police report said.
Around 21:10, police have reported that the woman has been found without life.
At the scene, relevant police units have emerged, and the medical team, which has ruled the victim’s death, is said to be further in the statement.
Police have indicated that, based on initial data, it is suspected that her death has resulted from shocks with a strong tool.
The suspected second case (who allegedly is her brother-in-law) is on the run, the police reported.
The State Prosecutor, who has been on the scene, has been notified.
Currently, the necessary investigative actions are under way to fully clarify the circumstances of the case, as well as locate and arrest the suspect.
