He even got lost to Radichiqi: Surrender in Pristina to imply recognition of Kosovo

Serbia’s former president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has rejected the possibility of handing over Milan Radojic, former deputy leader of the Serbian List, to Kosovo authorities, claiming such an act would imply formal recognition of Kosovo’s independence.

According to Vucinqi, the surrender of or any other person to authorities in Pristina would mark, as he claims, the recent beginning of the Serbian state.

Just keep in mind that the handover of Radojici or anyone else in Pristina, in any form, would imply recognition of the state of Kosovo and the beginning of the end of the Serbian state. This would not be the capitulation, but the de jure recognition of Kosovo. It is not indirect recognition, but for formal legal recognition of the state of Kosovo, the 56-year-old said.

Referring to Radojciqi’s case, Vucic also cited the judicial procedure against him for the criminal act of causing danger. He claimed the court had sought evidence from EULEX, but that this mission had assessed that the issue belongs to Kosovo justice.

Radojciq is wanted by Kosovo authorities for organising and participating in the attack on Banjska on 24 September 2023, where Kosovo Police Sergeant Africa Bulnjaku was killed.

In Serbia, meanwhile, a separate review has been launched regarding the way his case is handled by justice bodies, especially the decision not to assign the detention measure, despite suspicions of serious criminal acts.

According to the Nova.rs portal, one of the reasons mentioned for not determining this move was related to the way then prosecutor Nikola Panteliq had argued on the request for detention.

In his request, the prosecutor had presented only one circumstance that could indicate that Radovici, if he remained free, could prevent the development of the procedure. It was about the danger of escape.

However, that reason had been deemed insufficient, since Radovici had submitted himself and voluntarily to be questioned at the High Public Prosecutor in Belgrade.
