Budva gathers Western Balkan leaders today at Berlin Process Summit

The Berlin Process Summit, attended by the prime ministers of Western Balkan countries and high representatives of the countries and institutions of the European Union, is held in Budva in Montenegro today.

Kosovo at this summit is represented by Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

In addition to Kurti, Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama, Northern Macedonia Prime Minister Hristian Mickovski, Bosnia and Herzegovina Council of Ministers head Boryana Christo, and Serbia’s Prime Minister Djuro Mace’s task manager, will be present in Budva.

The Berlin Process was established in 2014 as a diplomatic initiative aimed at deepening regional co-operation and accelerating the integration of Western Balkan countries into the European Union.

Of the six countries in the region, Kosovo remains the only country that does not have official candidate status for EU membership.
