Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, president of Jordan’s Football Federation, has declared he will fully co-operate with the disciplinary organs of the Asian Football Confederacy ( AFC, following controversy caused by his criticism of FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
The clash began after Tokyo’s extraordinary AFC congress, where support was declared for the re-election of Infantino at the helm of FIFA.
Prince Ali criticised the convention’s development, claiming delegates were not given the opportunity to discuss and express their positions.
The AFC dismissed these claims and suggested that the Jordanian prince’s statements had been forwarded to the relevant organs for examination.
In his recent response, Prince Ali said he respects the AFC and its judicial organs, confirming readiness to co-operate with any procedure.
He explained that statements of threats, pressure, and bribery had been a principled attitude rather than concrete accusations against anyone.
However, he did not expressly draw all earlier criticism of the convention’s arrangement.
