NATO has tested new military technologies, demonstrating for the first time the co-ordination of flocks of fears through use of artificial intelligence, 5G technology and digital data exchange systems.
The demonstration was held at the Adazi military base in Latvia, under NATO’s programme for digital infrastructure experimentation ( DibaX, which has been held from October 19th to October 30th.
During this test, the way some fears can function and co-ordinate by exchanging information through advanced digital systems has been introduced.
NATO Allied Allied Commander for Transition, Admiral Pierre Vandier, has declared that these technologies enable faster information integration and making more efficient decisions on the battlefield.
Meanwhile, Latvia Army Commander Kaspars Pudʼans has stressed the importance of these developments not only remaining in the testing phase but switch to concrete use during military operations.
The DibaX programme aims to create a joint digital infrastructure through which the armies of NATO member states will be able to exchange data and co-ordinate joint operations.
This development marks another step in the Alliance’s efforts to integrate artificial intelligence and advanced technologies in its military operations.
