Britney Spears’ former husband, Kevin Federline, owes the National Bank of City more than $117,000, according to court documents. He opened the accounts at the end of 2024, when the singer stopped paying the algorithm.
According to the indictment, which was reviewed by the magazine PEOPLE , Federline (48) owes the bank exactly $117,704.77 in three accounts: a credit card, a personal credit line, and an overreachment to his current account.
The indictment says he opened the account in late November 2024 about the time Spears finished paying financial support for the children.
Credit card debt was due to be paid in August, the credit line matured in June 2025 and the deficit allowed in April 2025. The bank also requires unpaid 20.5 per cent interest in the credit card, 7.5 per cent of the credit line and 18 per cent of the deficit allowed.
PEOPLE has contacted Federline’s lawyer for comment.
This is not Federline’s first banking problem. In March, he was indicted by Bank of America, claiming there were more than $12,000 in unpaid bills. The bank said in a sworn statement that Federline opened the account on December 6th 2024 and made the last payment in May 2025.
Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, previously told the magazine PEOPLE that Spears, 44, will pay financial support to children until their youngest son, Jayden, graduate from high school in November 2024, in accordance with California law.
In his memoirs, I thought you knew, published in 2025, Federline declared that Spears paid him 20,000 dollars a month for financial support for children.
People hear such figures and think you’re financially secure, but reality is far from that. The growth of two young boys in Los Angeles, with the security and stability they needed, came at a price that would make everyone think, Federline wrote in the book.
Federline and Spears were married between 2004 and 2007 and have two sons, Sean Preston (21) and Jayden (20). /Telegraphy/
