The Instagram has started testing a new format called Freatures, which will enable content makers to publish horizontal video lengths of up to 90 minutes.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the function is initially tested with a select group of U.S. creators and has been tested in Brazil.
The format is mainly aimed at podkasters and showmakers, who will be able to publish full episodes without sharing in many short clips.
Videos will be first promoted in Tab Explore through short clips, while users will be able to pass on to full content through full-time video options.
At the moment, the function will be available on the mobile app, and later support is planned for TV. The platform aims to expand it to all US users by the end of this year or early next year.
