The Democrat leader of the U.S. Senate, Chuck Schumer, has celebrated his victory in the Congress elections with a picture of a barbecue in which hamburgers and sausages had the faces of American President Donald Trump, vice president JD Vance and Republicans who lost in the election.
Vance appears with a shaved head and swollen pages, in a version that has long been known online.
54 places and we keep counting. I also learned to use the barbecue… These burgers and sausages are fully cooked, Schumer wrote.
It is expected to return to the position of majority leader in the Senate from January.
According to votes counted so far, the Democrats have secured at least 54 seats in the Senate, while results in Alaska and Mississippi are still not final.
Republicans have also lost the House of Representatives. Among the senators who failed to secure the warrant are Susan Collins from Maine, Roger Marshall from Kansas and Jon Husted from Ohio.
Schumer’s publication was also a response to a photo published in June 2024 that had become a laughingstock.
Then, for Fathers ‘ Day, Schumer had published a photograph by putting a slice of cheese on a completely immature hamburger. He had written that his family had lived in the apartment all their life, but his daughter had bought a house with the yard and that for the first time they were organizing a barbecue.
The photograph caused numerous reactions and ridicule, especially from conservatives, while Schumer erased it a little later.
Republicans used the picture in their campaign a year later, publishing a video with the title “We Can Cook properly” and selling can holders with the inscription “Pjek as I vote.” /Telegraphy/
