Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has indicated that additions for children will gradually increase in four phases, with the goal of doubling by January 2030.
During the Government meeting, Kurti has announced that the first 25 percent increase will take effect on January 1, 2027, while other increases will be realised in the early 2028, 2029, and 2030.
In line with our promise of doubling additions for children during the mandate, we have envisioned and budgeted gradual growth of additions in four phases, with 25% annually over the current sum. So, from January 1, 2027, additions for children increase 25%, then even on January 1, 2028 again 25%, in January 2029 again 25%, and in January 2030 gradual growth is completed, resulting in doubling child additions within the mandate, Kurti has declared.
He has also provided concrete examples of benefits after the first increase. According to him, a family of two, currently receiving 60 euros, will benefit 75 euros per month from January. While a family of four, which gets 180 euros, will receive 225 euros.
