Kosovo Parliament Speaker Albulen Haxhiu has hosted the World Bank Country Manager for Kosovo and Northern Macedonia, Carole Megevand, with whom she has discussed co-operation between institutions and support of development projects in Kosovo.
During the meeting, legislative agenda was discussed, projects the World Bank is supporting in the country, as well as opportunities for further deepening co-operation.
Special attention was also given to women’s participation in the labour market, which continues to remain at a low level.
Haxhiu praised the World Bank’s role as important partners in Kosovo’s economic and institutional development, thanking Megevand for continued support.
It expressed readiness for expanding the functioning co-operation of reforms and investments aimed at improving the lives of Kosovo citizens.
